STORY #30

January 17, 2013
Name: Megan Diekhoff
Description: Small, silver
Place of Origin: Social Studies Planning room

Today I went on a semi-adventure during social studies class to make copies of a data chart.  My teacher handed me the paper and told me to make about thirty copies, so I eagerly rushed into the planning room (which almost everyone agrees should actually be called the "plotting" room).  Once inside the room, I started up the machine and let the printer do the work.  Meanwhile, I grabbed a box of paperclips and shook it like a maraca...the natural thing for a percussionist to do.  It was fairly entertaining, and, just as the printer was finishing, a single paperclip fell out of the box.  Of course it occurred to me that this paperclip was the "chosen one" and thus I had to escort it back to our classroom where I would later keep it and add it to the chain. :)

Miracles happen every day! We just have to keep our eyes open!

"Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would end, I'd still plant my apple tree."

"Don't be attached to the outcome!"  How hard this is!  I question it often as well.  How can I not?  How can I not care about what happens to those I come into contact with?  Isn't caring & attachment the same thing?  Maybe it's not, but it feels like it.  And so, when the day came and I crossed paths w/another that had bee...
