In the summer of 2012, Megan began her part-time job at OFS Brands.  On her way into the building with Jason Diekhoff, she found a small silver (and dirty!) paperclip on the pavement.

Other: Found while cleaning out the quint cabinet

On the last day of school, Southridge High School percussionists worked to clean out the marching drum cabinets.  When Aaron and Rachel found a standard silver paperclip in the bottom of the cabinet, Megan asked for permission to add it to the chain.

Ann McConnell was present when Emma Mundy contributed the "large angel" clip.  Annie wanted to give a clip, also. She found a yellow treble clef paperclip that Megan Diekhoff had originally given to her for her birthday and donated it.

Other: Similar to the blue paperclip on Megan's shirt.

Jason Diekhoff gave Megan (his daughter) the standard blue paperclip one day at the Windmill Chill. He had noticed Megan wearing her blue paperclip on the end of her shirt and thought it was a trend. This was not the case, but it was making progress within the realm of paperclip ideas. The once "worthless" blue paperclip became meaningful.

Other: From Rita's Sunday school class project.

This paperclip is in the shape of an angel.  Megan Diekhoff made it during Rita Clem's Sunday school class at Bethel General Baptist Church. This guardian angel is the first paperclip on the chain for two reasons: It was created before any other clip on the chain and it will "watch over" all the STORYclips to come.
