STORY #66 & 67

Name: Megan
Description: 2 small silver clips found in parking lot
Every day at work I paperclip orders from customers together. Each time I slide one onto a bundle of paper I think about how paperclips hold the office environment together. I don't think offices around America would necessarily fall apart without these small shimmering inventions, but I know that life would be a lot less organized and slightly more chaotic.
While making my way back into the building after a relaxing lunch break in the sunshine, I noticed one of these silver stories waiting for me on the ground. I stooped down and held it in my hand, relieving it from the heat of the black pavement.
After work that same day, as I exited the building, I found yet another paperclip on the ground. The two are so similar they could be twins! My father tells me that my time is far too valuable to waste picking paperclips off the ground...but I absolutely insist that I will always have time to rescue these abandoned clips. Their stories await them.
Here is the story of these "twin" paperclips:
After so long, one learns to ignore the burn of the sunshine and to relish the breeze. Stories are written every day but some will never be told. Many are forgotten, raked into a pile of leaves at the edge of the road or soaked into the thirsty Earth like water from a sprinkler after a drought. Perhaps one day, though, the breeze will stir up a crumpled leaf and send it on journey towards another place where the rain will sing its message willingly. The world will listen and someone will pick up a pen to write...inspiration is a lightning strike inside the soul. The following thunder will announce that a revolution has been born.
***Do you find yourself looking for paperclips on the ground as you would a quarter? If so, PICK IT UP!!! PICK IT UP PICK IT UP PICK IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!! And write about the place you found it.
