Name: Shane Claiborne
Description: A paperclip Megan found on 4th street.

Megan's Note: Due to Shane's busy schedule conducting a revolution and whatnot, he suggested that I choose from some of the stories he has already posted on his Facebook page for The Simple Way. I have decided to take his advice and share some of these things he and his friends are doing because I think they are inspiring.  Even though The Simple Way is located in Philadelphia, there are still ways for people all across the nation to get involved in this revolution!

Below are a few pictures and a story about the LOVE dollar people across the globe are hiding for others to find.

"We have this little thing here at The Simple Way called a Love Dollar. And, we want to share it with you.

Our first Love Dollars were spread across Wall Street, to declare Jubilee - speaking truth to power: the love we've received from the Creator, that we aim to mirror to one another, is much larger, much more powerful than the ol' dollar.

And, we want to continue to share the love!

I know, I know...what exactly is a Love Dollar?? Super easy!  It's a one dollar bill with the word love written, big and bold, on the back.

There are several things we like to do with our love dollars, and over the next couple days, we're going to show you! BUT, we want to know what YOU would do with one!

We want to see! Grab your markers, your spare $1 bills, and your phone / camera & show us how you spread the love!" --Post by Shane Claiborne (April 24th, 2013)

Now that you've seen the great project that is the LOVE DOLLAR, check out some of the other things the Simple Way does. These are transformations from dilapidated things to beautiful pieces of hope. Want to be part of the revolution? Go to their Facebook page by clicking HERE! <<<<<<Seriously.  You do not want to miss this.

Thanks for your participation! Be sure to spread the word and spread the LOVE!!! :)

"A little thought and a little kindness are often worth more than a great deal of money." -John Ruskin

In addition to all this, Shane mailed me a small pocket card with the following prayer printed on it:

Prayer of St. Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so
much seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to
eternal life.
